how lucky was I?!

Before Christmas I was lucky enough to have my husband attend an auction and we won all the fabric samples from an upholsterer! Here is a couple of piks, but it only shows a fraction of what I now have to create with, so please, keep an eye out for some really exciting things! There will be more ella & jaks bags of course, but I have my plans for ella & jaks homewares - cushion covers and soooo much more!

I hope you all had a most marvellous Christmas and may 2009 be nice for all of us.

finally I have some Lara Cameron!

Before the year is out I have been able to tick another thing off my list and that is to create a bag using some Lara Cameron fabric, good Aussie talent, textile printer based in Melbourne. Such organic material. Check out her site at http://www.inkandspindle.com.au/!

Here’s a pik of the bag I just made, simple in it’s own glory.

Keep an eye out for more new prints, coming your way soon.

it's been a while

You know what I mean, time goes, it’s all cool and then you realise… where did that time go, not that it’s ever been wasted but it’s cannot be accounted for, maybe that’s the point, it does not need to be accounted for… However that’s my thinking out loud!

I have been busy as always, and this month has been all about my princess, my first little girl and her first ballet and jazz ballet concert on the weekend, not to mention her fifth birthday last week and all the party festivities that go with it! I have included a picture from a very proud mum. I also will include tomorrow a picture of the party bags I made, I have had enough of the disposal lifestyle we have and made some pretty bags for the party goers to keep…

But on the handbag front I have just received a large amount of fabric that has me more than excited, also I have coming tomorrow some lovely fabric handprinted from Lara Cameron, based in Melbourne, and what better than to support an Australian textile designer, so keep an eye out for the bags created with her designs…!

the village markets

Well, what a busy time it’s been, I haven’t had a chance to keep in touch, we have been preparing for the markets, amongst other things. However, today was the day and the weather was very kind, and we had a brilliant day meeting our customers and selling some bags. Have included a few piks and will definately be there at the next meeting December 7!

I also had the fantastic chance to attend my 20 year high school reunion the night before, what a hoot and I am so lucky to have been able to catch up with some really special people, you know who you are!

What an amazing weekend.

Hope this finds you all well and I promise to be in touch again soon.

Cheers

introducing ruby...

Little Ruby Lavinia arrived at the end of September, absolutely beautiful. If I didn’t already have three of my own angels I would gladly have another… This is a little something that I made up for Ruby, it contains a fitted sheet, the bag and a little friend for her to cuddle.

Should there be a new little arrival that you know needs a friend I would be more than happy to make up a set for you.
Love to Ruby
