colours, colours everywhere...

There is no denying - I have an absolute love of colours; the feelings they evoke; the way every colour can look different on each individual; the use of colours in interiors to make warmth, to expand a space or to promote an energy.

Each colour has an emotion, it might bring back memories, places you've been, people that wear a certain colour...

In creating handbags, every piece of fabric and it's colour tells a story, and this story usually dictates the style of bag, the size of the bag and perhaps even it's use.

The picture noted is a collage of the latest bags...

What appeals to you? In these bags there is fushia, oranges & browns, greens and blues...

The blues may remind you of the sea, calmness, freedom or it might be cold, or cleanliness...
Green shades might take you to grasses blowing in the wind on a hill, health, nature, eco...
Orange (and we love orange at ella & jaks) can evoke cheerfulness, brightness, energy...
Fushia and the many ranges of pinks may make you feel more feminine, more girly, more in touch with yourself...

It's great to use colour to change the way you feel, or the way you would like people to view you, to lift spirits...

What colour are you wearing today... is it working for you :)

Cheers and colour your day...

change is in the air...

Life works in mysterious ways, and so I have recently found myself in some sort of creative hiatus... an internal holiday from my own expectations, my self-doubt and my lack of direction.

I have been looking, listening, experiencing and contemplating. From this I have initiated changes in my daily routines, the approach to my health, my ability to be a mother, and the way I relate and respond to others.

Now this may all sound a little way out, a little too spiritual for some (and that's so okay) but it's been a wonderful privilege to simply stop.

I am excited by where I am going now, calm and confident in my approach, and eager to be me.

I am now in the midst of working on a range of totes, created with the plethora of gorgeous upholstery fabrics I have in my stash, along with a handbag range. I look forward to sharing these with you soon.

And for anyone who is wanting to change direction, looking for balance or just ready to experience something else, please follow my link to the Chopra Center's 21 day meditation challenge - it is in full swing, but very much worth joining in :)

Namaste
